Admire the breathtaking views of the Canadian Shield soaking up the sounds of the forest and Severn River. Use our canoe, kayaks, rent a boat or bring your own to tour the 386KM route with several locks nearby.

The walls of windows blur the lines between inside and out, connecting you with nature in every room. With 2,100 sq ft to enjoy, the interior spaces are inspired by Scandinavian design and paired with carefully selected vintage and modern pieces; a sustainable sanctuary.
In addition to hosting guests at The Wood House, we have been hosting guests at our restaurants in Toronto for over 30 years! As professional chefs, it is no surprise that our kitchen is expertly stocked with everything you need to prepare a simple everyday meal or something for a special occasion.
Every detail has been considered to eliminate our eco footprint. We strive to be eco friendly, and provide as many zero waste options as we can to help care for the environment.

HEY THERE!
As restaurant owners for over 30 years in Toronto, we have perfected the art of hospitality. We bought The Wood House as a vacation home for our growing young family. Jill was born and raised in the area, so it made sense to be close to “home” and introduce our children to “the cottage life” that shaped her own childhood.
We have dedicated our careers to leading the food industry into the direction of plant-based menus and biodegradable take-out packaging. Our goal as hosts is to reduce our environmental impact without sacrificing comfort or luxury during your getaway. We have carefully curated your experience to have as low impact on the planet as possible.
As much as we love hosting, we have a high level of standards in maintaining our home. And with that comes plenty of home renovations (big and small) to elevate our guest’s stay. We love all things DIY, and execute all the remodelling/upkeep ourselves.
Whether it's a solo staycation, a family reunion, a wellness retreat or a romantic getaway, The Wood House Muskoka sets the tone for an unforgettable cabin experience.
